MEET VIRGINIA

Forever Fit Science was co-founded by Virginia Davies who took up sprinting in her fifties with the help of coach and co-founder Grayson Fertig. Sprinting is a way to train all five bio-motor abilities – speed, strength, endurance, balance and flexibility.

What was her motivation? She wanted to make certain she maintained her ability to play with her grandchildren.
Forever Fit Science aims to be a catalyst for transforming approaches to physical fitness for those over fifty.

Our digital and live platforms foster conversations between participants, scientists, coaches, personal trainers, clothing and equipment manufacturers and health care professionals. We focus on activities that are effective, easy to integrate into family/work life and are budget friendly. We affirm the desire to play as you did when you were younger for every day of your life.

FITNESS IS NOT A LUXURY

Fitness is not a luxury good that requires a gym membership, expensive trainer or trendy gear.  We believe in safely integrating fitness and athleticism into daily life in a way that allows you to capture the sense of carefree play you had as a child such as hopscotch on the sidewalk , jumping rope or playing catch in the park. Splurge on a little practice everyday.
Whether you are just beginning to think about your fitness or are a seasoned athlete, Forever Fit Science aims to assist you on your fitness journey with the latest scientific findings, testimonials and tips.

TIP OF THE DAY!

single leg deadlift

Hamstring tightness is a common complaint among runners. No matter how much you stretch and roll them, they always seem tight. Training the hamstrings requires a comprehensive approach that includes your favorite quick feet agility drills, stretching and strengthening.

Single Leg Dead Lift

This exercise combines both stretching and strengthening because you are working the muscle as it moves into a lengthened position. Standing on one foot adds an element of balance and coordination.
