Message From Your CEO
Over the last decade the world of health and fitness has become increasingly difficult to navigate. There are internet trolls hiding around every corner, and dangerous misinformation and ‘bro science’ on every webpage.
Trying to find an answer to any question can be so difficult that it is just easier to give up.
I know this because I have been there, searching for real information and getting nowhere – and I know that you have too.
In fact, that is the whole reason that I first started this website, way back when it was known as ‘Fast Twitch Grandma’.
I wanted to get the most recent scientific health and fitness information, present it in way that is easy to understand and practical, and make available to everyone – completely free of charge.
I wanted to encourage you to take control of your wellbeing and your health.
Over time, this vision evolved into something greater.
So much greater that it led to the development of two more websites Forever Fit Kids and Forever Fit Mama, designed with the same lofty goal in mind, but tailored to some of the key groups that need it most.
And I am still as committed to that goal.
But today I want to shed light on another issue.
A related issue, yes.
But an even bigger one.
Over the last few weeks, I have watched the coronavirus completely devastate the African American community with my mouth agape, feeling completely and utterly helpless.
This is something that is bigger than me.
This is something that a single person cannot change.
To address an issue as large as this, “We the People” must come together and make some real change.
Just as we have with social distancing, we need work together for the greater good.
We need take the first steps to ensure that every American has access to affordable, nutritious food. That they have quality, affordable medical services. That they have safe parks, playgrounds, and equipment for all to lead a healthy active life.
We need to make change, together.
