Improve Your Game With Plyometrics

Tracey Battle, 50, is a 2017 USATF Masters Track & Field champion in the long jump and triple jump.

Workout Warmup – Strides:

1. Begin 1/4 down jump runway, running to sand.
2. Rest up to 1 minute between runs.
3. Increase speed and distance to full runway at near-sprint speed.

Jump Drill Workout:

1. Beginners should jump on grass, not asphalt or concrete.
2. New jumpers should jump less distance and height.
3. For the workout, do each drill 1/2 the length of the jump runway.
4. Perform each drill twice, resting 1 minute between reps.
